The Payette Lakes Progressive Club is an Idaho nonprofit, community-based philanthropic organization dedicated to enriching life in the McCall area through education, grants, and the belief that no task is too great for those who are willing.
Who We Are
Founded in 1930 by a group of forward-looking local women, the Payette Lakes Progressive Club has been quietly, and not so quietly, shaping McCall, Idaho for nearly a century.
The name "Progressive" wasn't chosen by accident. Our founders selected it for its literal meaning: moving forward, onward, through successive steps. It described exactly what they intended to do. It still does.
Today, more than 100 members strong, we raise funds, award scholarships, support local nonprofits, and show up for McCall in ways large and small. We're not a political club. We're a community one.

Our Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show is the heartbeat of our giving. Every dollar raised goes directly to scholarships and community grants.

For most of my life I have been a volunteer with various nonprofit organizations. So when I moved to McCall, I was ecstatic to learn about the Progressive Club and all the good work we do in the community. And to top it off, I now have a new circle of fun-loving, community-oriented friends.

The first meeting I attended of the Progressive Club was in Aug. 2010, and the fifteen women in attendance were all over the age of 75 except for one or two. I was a mere 66! At this meeting, a volunteer was “requested to “help” with a fundraiser — 16 years of fundraising later….! The Progressive Club has provided some treasured friendships and shared goals with other women for community service and involvement. I am proud to still be involved in such a vital women’s organization.

I joined the Progressive Club when I moved to McCall. I joined because I wanted to do something to help my community and to make new friends. With the Progressive Club, I have done both. I love spending time with my PC friends and working together in our work to support our students in the community! The women in the PC are the type of people who love to reach out a hand to make our community better. I love these people!!!

McCall is a small close knit community with extraordinary opportunities. I am proud of this amazing group that has opened the opportunity door fulfilling needs, wishes, and dreams to the residents. Since 1930 this amazing group has “lifted public morale” by taking on community needs such as the Public Library, Girl Scouts, student scholarships, and McCall’s Cemetery.
